Girvan Defibrillator Locations

Defibrillators are devices that apply an electric charge or current to the heart to restore a normal heartbeat. If the heart rhythm stops due to cardiac arrest, also known as sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), a defibrillator may help it start beating again.

There are currently 18 defibrillators accessible by the public at all times located in Girvan and you can find the location of them in the map below.

New defibrillators were installed as part of a project brought to fruition by a partnership approach by Girvan Town Team and Girvan & South Carrick Locality Planning Partnership. Together they secured the funding for the project to become reality alongside support and advice from Girvan & South Carrick First Responders.

In addition, South Ayrshire Council relocated five of their defibrillators to the outside of their premises, ensuring the public can access them at all times.

To assist with identifying your location for the emergency services, address details and what3words references have been added to some of the defibrillators.
